This is the Cliff Davis car, built for the popular driver by Colin Chapman in 1955 and registered “NOY 1”. The car has a known and documented history and Cliff Davis raced the car both nationally and internationally from 1955 to 1957 competing in the Goodwood “9 Hours” and supporting races at the British Grand Prix. “NOY 1” also appeared in the film, ‘Checkpoint’ starring Anthony Steel and James Robertson-Justice. The car has been campaigned pretty much continuously throughout its life and comes with a wealth of history. Its last appearance was at Goodwood in 2014 where it finished 2nd in the Madgwick Cup with a fastest lap of 1’37.908. Offered for sale in generally good condition with a strong race engine with a dyno sheet showing over 160 BHP at 6500 rpm. The car has two bonnet arrangements, one with fitted lights for night races. The car will require light re-commissioning for this season and new HTP papers. Highly eligible for the Woodcote Trophy, Goodwood and other suitable historic events.
